Designed for core-layer deployments, these series strengthen FS’s three-tier campus network solutions.

Built for Evolving Network Demands

As campus networks support more users, devices, access points, and bandwidth-intensive applications, core and aggregation infrastructure needs to scale with traffic while maintaining availability and efficiency. Modular switches provide scalability and service flexibility, reducing frequent infrastructure replacement. The new S6500, S6300, and S6000 series address different network scales and deployment needs.

FS New Modular Switches for Diverse Deployments

The S6500 Series targets large-scale, high-performance environments that require high bandwidth, port density, and Layer 3 scalability. Using Broadcom switching chips and a distributed architecture, the S6500 Series delivers switching capacity ranging from 56 Tbps to 448 Tbps, depending on the model and configuration. It supports high-density line cards for 1G, 10G, 40G, and 100G interfaces. With configurations supporting up to 576 10G SFP+, 72 40G QSFP+, or 72 100G QSFP28 ports, the series provides high-density connectivity for demanding core and aggregation networks. It also supports large-scale Layer 3 routing with up to 160K IPv4 routing entries.

The S6300 Series provides a flexible chassis platform for large campus and enterprise networks. It supports high-density 1G, 10G, and 40G line cards and flexible virtualization configurations for diverse network architectures and distance requirements. Its support for MPLS VPN and IPv4/IPv6 routing also enables the series to serve as a foundation for enterprise and industry network interconnection and multi-service delivery.

The S6000 Series focuses on flexible expansion and investment protection for SMEs and other growing network environments. Its integrated management and service module design allows any service module inserted into a slot to also perform management functions, reducing the need for a dedicated management module. This improves slot utilization while simplifying device deployment. Its modular architecture also supports different line card combinations and allows port capacity to expand according to network requirements.

Simplified Management and Network Operations

Across the three series, cloud-based management helps simplify network deployment and configuration while supporting batch operations, visualization, monitoring, alarms, and multi-role administration. These capabilities help organizations improve operational efficiency and maintain consistent network management as deployments expand across devices and locations.

With the upcoming S6500, S6300, and S6000 series, FS is expanding its switching lineup to provide more comprehensive support for three-tier campus network architectures. The new modular switches will complement FS’s existing Enterprise Switch and SME Switch portfolios when officially launched.
